Don't worry!! We keep working!!

The project Rocklab 1 has stopped during our exam period but now we keep working on all the fields.

CLIK FOR MORE INFORMATION

A new gas generator for the parachute deployment is being manufactured using new specifications .

The fins has been cut using a laser cutter (from ETSAV school UPC) for a maximum precision and accuracy.

The fins are made using plywood and balsa wood. The plywood is used in the main fin structure due to its better properties (hardness, stiffness, etc.) in front of the balsa wood and this is used to fill the holes made on the plywood in order reduce weight. Furthermore the fins must be reinforced using composite materials.

Also the Base Cone "male mold" has been manufactured using CNC technology from the company TANUS. This aluminum piece is going to be used to make a mold in order to manufacture a similar part using composite materials such as carbon fiber with epoxy resin.
